Your little days stay on your phone

Last updated: November 2, 2026 · Applies to the "Still Sprouting" (今天也發芽) app and this website

The short version
  • Everything you put into the app is stored only on your own phone. We have no server and cannot see it.
  • No sign-up, no login, no ads, and no analytics or tracking tools.
  • Reminders are local notifications from your phone, with no network involved.
  • You can "Clear all data" in settings at any time. Uninstalling the app deletes it too.

1. Who we are

Still Sprouting (今天也發芽) is a habit app made by an independent developer, with a companion character called Sprout. This policy explains how the app and this website handle data. For questions, see the contact section at the end.

2. What does the app collect?

Nothing. The app does not send your data to the developer, to advertisers, or to analytics companies.

What you enter or generate while using the app (Sprout's name, habits, completion records, companion days and level, mood and weather, Sprout's letters and notebook, your reminder times, and an optional nickname you type) is stored in the app's own folder on your phone.

3. Permissions the app uses

We request only what's necessary, and we don't ask for location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, or file access.

PermissionWhy
Notifications (including vibration)To remind you at times you choose, using local notifications. Android 13+ and iPhone ask first; the app works fine if you decline, and you can turn it off any time.
Reschedule reminders after rebootAfter your phone restarts, to restore the reminders you set.
Google Play Billing / App Store purchaseWhen you buy an optional look, the store handles payment.

The release version of the app does not request network permission. Only the phone's store purchase flow connects to the store.

5. Beta testers (closed testing)

7. Not a medical or therapy service

Sprout is a companion app. It doesn't diagnose, give medical advice, or replace real people. If you are struggling, please reach out to a professional or someone you trust. In Taiwan you can call 1925 (24 hours), 1995 (24 hours) or 1980 (Mon–Sat 9:00–21:00, Sun 9:00–17:00), all free. Elsewhere, please contact your local crisis line.

8. Children

The app is intended for people aged 13 and over. Because we collect no personal data we cannot know a user's age; if you are a minor, we suggest using the app with a parent or guardian's knowledge.

9. Your rights

Under Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act you may ask to access, copy, correct, stop the use of, or delete your personal data. Because the app's data lives only on your phone, you can do all of this yourself in the app (view, edit, export, clear all data). If you gave us an email to join the beta, you can also write to us any time and ask us to delete it.

10. If this changes

If we later add features that need the network (such as cloud AI assistance), they will be off by default, explained before use, send only what is needed and only when you press that feature, and be fully switchable off in settings. We will update this policy and the date above, and re-check Google Play's Data safety and App Store privacy label definitions. Material changes will be announced in the app or on this website.

11. Contact

The contact email will be published here before the beta opens.
