No punishment
Sprout never dies and never guilt-trips you. There are no broken streaks and no "you missed it". A day off just means Sprout is resting.
Still Sprouting (今天也發芽) is a habit app built around a small plant-headed buddy called Sprout. You look after Sprout; Sprout helps you build tiny habits like sleeping earlier, reading, and moving a bit. Miss a day and nothing is taken away. Sprout just naps and waits for you.
Many people quit a habit the moment they break a streak. Sprout works the other way around: it makes it easy to come back.
Sprout never dies and never guilt-trips you. There are no broken streaks and no "you missed it". A day off just means Sprout is resting.
The daily core action takes under 30 seconds: one tap, and Sprout answers. Deeper features are there if you want them, and ignorable if you don't.
Sprout remembers what you did and tells you in words: "You've shown up on five Wednesdays lately." Not a cold chart thrown at you.
Every "companion day" (a day you finish at least one small thing) helps Sprout grow. Days don't need to be in a row. Take a break and Sprout still remembers.

After it blooms there are levels, accessories, small gifts, and little notes from Sprout on days 30, 66 and 100.
Bursting with energy, spins when you show up.
Soft-spoken. Lets you sit down and breathe first.
Acts too cool for it, but notices every time.

AsleepPoke Sprout's belly or make it hop with joy, and you'll hear its tiny voice.
"Done", "Did a little", "Rest today". A little counts as a companion day on tired days, and resting takes nothing away.
Wind down with Sprout and say goodnight. "Tonight's plan" helps you lay out what you want to do before bed.
Press start and Sprout sits beside you. When the timer ends it counts as done automatically.
Every Sunday Sprout writes you a letter about the week. Even on a week you didn't come, there's one, ending with "I'll be here. No rush."
Sprout sometimes brings back a small gift, slowly filling a collection book. Come back after a break and there's always a welcome-back gift.
Hats, scarves, backpacks, umbrellas, nightcaps... dress Sprout up. Everything moves and breathes with it.
Sprout only remembers what you tapped, to respond better. Look at it any time, delete anything. It's never used to hold you back.
Keep Sprout on your home screen, or make a picture-book style card to share. It never includes your habit names.
Cream paper, brown lines, hand-cut corners. At night it switches to a low-light dark mode.
Thank you. You were here 6 days this week.
"Reading", 6 times. Every small step is safe with me.
Next week, slow is fine. I'll be here.

The first 6 accessories unlock by leveling up and are free forever. Rainy-day and pajama looks come later as optional one-time purchases. They change no features, and we never sell revives or streak repairs.

Data stays on your phoneHabits, records, moods and letters are never uploaded. We don't even have a server.
No sign-up, no adsNo login. No ad or analytics tools.
Reminders ring locallyLocal notifications, no network involved, and you can switch them all off.
Delete it all, anytimeOne tap in settings clears everything. You can also export to move to a new phone. We're looking for 12 to 20 friends to use the very first version. No tech skills needed: just 30 seconds a day for at least 14 days, then tell us what works and what feels odd. Your feedback decides how Sprout turns out.
Why 12 people for 14 days? Google Play requires new developer accounts to run a closed test with at least 12 testers for 14 continuous days before an app can launch publicly. You'd be the last mile that gets Sprout onto the store.
Plain-language write-ups with sources. Useful whether or not you ever use Sprout.
66 days on average, 18 to 254 days between people, and one missed day barely matters.
Habits are set off by context. Change the context, then replace it with "if…then…".
Streaks cut both ways, and what to do on your first day back.
Core features are free forever and never locked: habits, companion days, growth and levels, mood weather, the collection, letters, reading buddy, bedtime ritual and reminders. Later there will be a few optional looks (one-time purchase) that change no features. We don't sell revives or streak repairs.
No. Reminders are at times you choose, as local notifications you can switch off entirely. If you stay away for days they become rarer; the last one says "I'll nap for a bit, wake me when you're back", and then it goes quiet.
Your data lives only on your phone. No account, and no server of ours that could collect it. Details are in the privacy policy.
No. Sprout is a companion app. It doesn't diagnose, give medical advice, or replace real people. If you're struggling, please reach out to a professional or someone you trust. In Taiwan you can call 1925 (24 hours), 1995 (24 hours) or 1980 (Mon–Sat 9:00–21:00, Sun 9:00–17:00), all free. If you're elsewhere, please contact your local crisis line.
Yes, a little later. The first wave is Android, and iPhone follows through TestFlight.
The app supports Traditional Chinese (今天也發芽) and English (Still Sprouting), following your phone's language setting.
Because you don't need to bloom every day. A tiny new sprout today is already plenty.
It's an independent small project made by one developer, so every piece of beta feedback really gets read.
