Your little days stay on your phone
- Everything you put into the app is stored only on your own phone. We have no server and cannot see it.
- No sign-up, no login, no ads, and no analytics or tracking tools.
- Reminders are local notifications from your phone, with no network involved.
- You can "Clear all data" in settings at any time. Uninstalling the app deletes it too.
1. Who we are
Still Sprouting (今天也發芽) is a habit app made by an independent developer, with a companion character called Sprout. This policy explains how the app and this website handle data. For questions, see the contact section at the end.
2. What does the app collect?
Nothing. The app does not send your data to the developer, to advertisers, or to analytics companies.
What you enter or generate while using the app (Sprout's name, habits, completion records, companion days and level, mood and weather, Sprout's letters and notebook, your reminder times, and an optional nickname you type) is stored in the app's own folder on your phone.
- No cloud backup: Android's automatic backup is turned off for the app, and on iPhone the data is marked as "do not back up", so it isn't carried away by device cloud backups.
- New phone: In settings you can export your data to a single file and import it on the new phone. That file is not encrypted. You decide where to keep it and who to send it to, so please keep it safe. On import the app validates the file and rejects it entirely if it doesn't look right.
- Deleting: "Clear all data" in settings deletes everything. Uninstalling the app deletes it too.
3. Permissions the app uses
We request only what's necessary, and we don't ask for location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, or file access.
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Notifications (including vibration) | To remind you at times you choose, using local notifications. Android 13+ and iPhone ask first; the app works fine if you decline, and you can turn it off any time. |
| Reschedule reminders after reboot | After your phone restarts, to restore the reminders you set. |
| Google Play Billing / App Store purchase | When you buy an optional look, the store handles payment. |
The release version of the app does not request network permission. Only the phone's store purchase flow connects to the store.
4. Third parties and stores
- Buying looks (optional): Payment is handled entirely by Google Play or the App Store. The app never sees or stores your payment details and never connects to our own servers; it only remembers on your phone which product you bought, so purchases can be restored.
- Share cards and data export: They are made on your phone and handed straight to your phone's share sheet. Where they go is up to you; the app uploads nothing. Share cards leave out your habit names and personal details by default.
- Home-screen widget: What it shows comes only from your phone, with no network involved.
- Crash statistics from Google Play / Apple: Depending on your phone's settings, Google Play or Apple may pass anonymous crash and performance information to developers. That's the platforms' own mechanism; we only see aggregated statistics, not who you are.
5. Beta testers (closed testing)
- Sign-up: To add you to a Google Play closed test or TestFlight, we ask for the matching email (a Google account or Apple ID email). We use it only to send invitations and to contact you about the test, and we remove it from the list when testing ends. We don't use it for marketing and don't share it. The sign-up form is collected by the form service we use (currently Tally), which handles data under its own privacy policy.
- Test reports: You press "Copy test report" in the app and paste it to us yourself. It contains usage counts only, never text you typed, and the app never sends it automatically.
6. This website
- This site uses no cookies and has no analytics or tracking code. Fonts and images are served from the site itself, with nothing loaded from third parties.
- The "starting-style quiz" runs in your browser: answers are neither sent nor stored, and the share card is generated in your browser without being uploaded.
- The site is served by a hosting provider (currently GitHub Pages). For operation and security, hosts may log connection data such as IP addresses under their own policies. We cannot see those logs.
7. Not a medical or therapy service
8. Children
The app is intended for people aged 13 and over. Because we collect no personal data we cannot know a user's age; if you are a minor, we suggest using the app with a parent or guardian's knowledge.
9. Your rights
Under Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act you may ask to access, copy, correct, stop the use of, or delete your personal data. Because the app's data lives only on your phone, you can do all of this yourself in the app (view, edit, export, clear all data). If you gave us an email to join the beta, you can also write to us any time and ask us to delete it.
10. If this changes
If we later add features that need the network (such as cloud AI assistance), they will be off by default, explained before use, send only what is needed and only when you press that feature, and be fully switchable off in settings. We will update this policy and the date above, and re-check Google Play's Data safety and App Store privacy label definitions. Material changes will be announced in the app or on this website.
